Moving

Well, I'm moving on Saturday. That's three days from now...wow... I finished all of my packing last night, so when I went to bed, it didn't feel like my room anymore. It was really kind of strange.

I have to leave my kitty at my parents house until Saturday, but I wont be home, so she's going to feel like I've left her. It almost makes me want to cry. It's okay, just a few more days then I wont be leaving her for quiet a while. I'll have a few days off, then work a day and a half, then come Friday, one of my best friend's is getting married in the Salt Lake Temple. I'm extremely happy for her and Sterling. My mom is currently working on my bride's maid dress. It's going to turn out really pretty. Of course we had to shorten the torso about two or so inches so that the waist line sat correctly on me. It was really funny, we were having lots of laughs over it.

Things are moving quickly, but not fast enough at the same time. I'll just be patent and let things move as they're supposed to.

It's October!

Life is still good.

I was going to buy a car from Larry H. Miller. That fell through, but they took the car back without to many issues. So I'm still driving my parents van, and paying for a car that doesn't work. But at least I have a car that works.

I found out yesterday that one of my best friends, Francais is getting married to Sterling, on October 30, 2009 at 8:40 in the morning at the Salt Lake Temple. I'm so happy for them!

I start my new work schedule on Saturday, so I'm working eight days in a row, which is kind of tiring, but I can do it. So I'll work Wednesday to Sunday with Monday, Tuesday off.

I take my kitty and Francais's kitty to the vet on Monday to get their shots and make sure that everything's okay. Then next Tuesday I'm going to Costco to get things that I need, like a water filter, and a huge bag of Halloween candy because we'll be in the apartment in time for Halloween! I'm excited...accept that I have no idea what I want to be for Halloween as I cannot afford to buy a Halloween costume this year.

I still have to get packing to move, but I'm procrastinating. I think I'll end up doing that either the week that I move or the week before... It all depends on what is going on, and what I have to do.

On October 24th, we're going in and painting the house, then spraying it for bugs (ewww). Then on the 26th we're going to finish moving everything in. The morning of the move Francais will be at the Temple, and so fortunately I live far enough away that it'll take us a while to get down to the apartment. But that's okay, it's not like she or I could of any of the major heavy lifting. So my sister, hopefully her husband, and I will be doing the moving, while my mom hopefully watches my sister's baby so that way we can get my stuff moved, then start with Francais's stuff. Like I said before Sterling will be moving in later that week.

Francais's grandparents has a bunch of firewood that they said they're more than willing to give to us, we just have to go get it. So one day we'll have to go up there and get it before it starts to snow...

The Beginning

Things in my life are beginning to fall into place.

About a month and a half ago, I was talking to two of my friends about them not being able to get an apartment in the good part of town that wasn't the size of a shoe box. I don't even know where the thought came from, but I just piped up, "Why don't we find an apartment together?" I asked them, and immediately both Francais and I got a good feeling about it, and she and her Fiance both agreed. So the next day Francais and I went and looked at a ton of apartments.

The first place that we went didn't have two bedrooms, so We went to the next apartments, we stood in the office for about thirty or forty minutes talking with one of the tenants about the apartments in the area, he advised that the apartments next door (Somerset Village) were not good apartments, before the woman who would show us the apartments got back. Well the tenant went with the woman and they were talking over something. Francais was worried that the apartment she already loved would no longer be open so we left to go look at them thinking about coming back to look at these ones.

We went to Crossroads Apartments and we loved it, the second bedroom (which would be mine) wasn't small but it wasn't huge either, and it only had one bathroom. It did have an okay sized patio, but it wasn't very big. They had security guards that would randomly walk the premises three or four times a day and the doors had two dead bolts. We really liked it, well Francais loved it, I liked it.

We went back to the apartments that we had waited a while and sat on the couch this time for a good forty-five minutes before I declared that I needed to eat lest I pass out! So we went and got lunch, then decided that maybe we weren't supposed to look at those apartments so we went and looked at a few others.

One of the other apartments we looked at, we drove into the parking lot then drove right back out. And a few of them, we just didn't get the right feeling, or the patio if we walked on it it felt like any sudden movement would make it fall. Or the carpet on the stairs looked like it hadn't been changed since the 70's.

Well we decided as we drove back to the first set of apartments that had two bedrooms. We drove by and there wasn't anywhere to park, so we took that as a sign that we weren't supposed to look at those apartments. We decided despite what the gentleman had said earlier that we would look at the Somerset Village anyway, just to see what they had.

We went in, and it is a gated community, which is really nice. We found a parking spot, even though it was pretty far from the office. Everyone inside was busy so we just started to look around and noted that they had a huge workout room, an indoor pool an outdoor pool and an indoor jacuzzi tub! Once someone was available to talk to us, he immediately offered us drinks, we both took bottles of water. We told him that we were looking for a two bedroom apartment at the end of the month, and asked him the prices. The two bedroom one bath was about $739 a month while the two bedroom two bath was about $769 a month so we asked to look at both.

He led us out to a golf cart to show us the apartments, the area was really nice, really shaded. We looked at the first apartment, the two bed one bath and it was nice, but we weren't in love. We decided to be polite and look at the second apartment. We went and the moment we walked through the door of this two bed two bath we were in love. The second bedroom was huge, the master bedroom was huge! The kitchen had the most cupboard space that we had seen out of any of the apartments that we looked at, the living/dining/kitchen were completely open to each other an there is a fireplace, a wood burning fire place! The patio was really big too. We asked to walk through it a second time because it was so nice!

None of the apartments that we had looked at earlier that day were nice enough for us to ask for an application right then and there, but we asked Roy the guy who had shown us the apartment for three applications because we were in love. That was the apartment that we were going to live in. So later that night when Sterling, Francais's fiance got off of work we told him all about the apartment and then we fasted about it, and we all got a good feeling about it.

So on October 24, 2009 we are going to be moving into our new apartment. A week after that Fancais and Sterling will be getting married in the Salt Lake Temple.

I got a new position at work in the Guest Relations department, and am making $3 more an hour than I was in reservations.

My life is finally putting itself in order. Things that I have been struggling with have become easier for me to handle. I feel like everything is finally falling into place...
